Floyd + Monkey + Gazoo's Sneak Peek

As I mentioned a few days ago, I bought this photo background so I could take photos of us and the dogs but since I had it, I figured I might as well get some use out of it and offered to take photos for a few friends and coworkers.  One of my close friends, Janice, wasn't up for getting in front of the camera herself but volunteered her dogs for the job.

Kevin and I spend a lot of time with Janice, her husband, Jeff, and their pack of pups, so I already know these three cuties pretty well.  This first guy is Floyd who came to Janice and Jeff through someone who needed to rehome him.  It was a perfect fit because Janice loves hounds and had recently lost her beloved blue tick coonhound, Jaeger.  She decided to meet Floyd and it was love at first sight!

And is it any wonder?  Who could resist this cutie?...
And this adorable little guy is Monkey. He came to Janice and Jeff through the rescue that Janice and I volunteered at together (which is also how I met her). Monkey came to them as a puppy and was supposed to be a short term foster. However, when it was time for him to go up for adoption, Jeff declared, "This one is staying!" and the rest, as they say, is history!

And really, is it any surprise? That's a whole lot of adorable in a tiny little package!....
And last, but certainly not least, is Gazoo. This little guy came to them when they unexpectedly lost one of their other dogs and they decided Monkey needed a young playmate. I have to admit that there is just something about Gazoo that I adore. I think it is his ears and that curly tail!
Janice, thank you for allowing me to capture these photos of your adorable dogs!

Luke + Kim + Shannon's Sneak Peek

Some of my favorite people are back on the blog!  If this family looks familiar, it is because I took their holiday photos for them a few years ago, too.

This year has been a doozy, hasn't it?!  Like many of you, I really haven't been leaving the house much these days.  I pretty much go to work, come home, and then sit in front of the TV until bedtime.  So, prior to taking these photos it had been waaaayyyyyy too long since I had laid eyes on these faces!

I decided that I wanted to take some Christmas photos of our dogs (stay tuned!) this year, and maybe even some of us with the dogs (stay tuned!) so I ordered a Christmas photography background from Amazon.  Since I had it, I decided I may as well put it to use and offered to take photos for a few friends and coworkers. Kim decided to take me up on the offer, so the three of them came over to the house where I set everything up in the backyard.  It wasn't the prefect setup, but overall I think the photos turned out pretty well!

Say hello to Shannon, Kim, and Luke:

Shannon decided to rock a Christmas sweater for the first part of the photos.  It has a dog on it, so of course I love it!

I think Shannon had fun with her photos this year! She came up with her own poses for many of these and I think she did a great job...
I can't believe how fast Shannon is growing up! It seems like just yesterday she was a little girl...
A few of mom and daughter...
Can we say GORGEOUS!? I have to admit that I completely adore Kim's hair short and I'm a bit jealous at how well she can pull it off!...
How cute is Shannon!?...
And of course, some of dad and daughter...
I just LOVE this one!...
So stinkin' cute...
Kisses for dad...
A few more of Kim and Shannon...
Kisses for mom...
A few of the whole family...
Shannon decided she needed a wardrobe change for the end of our session!...
Once again, I love the photos of them laughing. It just warms my heart to see these images...
And one more of Shannon with a beloved stuffed animal...
Kim, Luke, and Shannon, It was sooooo good to see you guys again and catch up! Thank you for allowing me to capture these photos of your precious family.
