Sweet Sisters

It is so hard to believe that Zoe's 10th birthday is right around the corner and then Lexi will turn 10 years old in December. These two have been the best of friends since I adopted them all those years ago. I love the bond they share as sisters! It's so much fun watching them play together.

I never know what I am going to get when I bust out the camera to take photos of them. Sometimes Zoe does better sitting for photos and sometimes Lexi is the perfect poser. Sometimes both of them are little hellions and won't stay put and very, very rarely both of them will sit and stay in place like perfect little angels.

Today was one of those days where Zoe kept popping up at every turn. I'd get them both in place, pick up my camera and I wouldn't get more than a shot or two fired off before Zoe would come running towards me.  So I had an awful lot of photos that looked just like this one...

I managed to get her to lay down for a photo...
Oh but look, she's back up again...
It's a good thing she's so adorable!...
And so is her sister, Lexi!...
The dogs really do love chilling in their yard...
Cuteness Overload...
I finally got her to sit still for a few minutes...
But not for long!...
These two hooligans bring me so much joy and happiness. I am so lucky to have them in my life!
Who could resist that face?...
Or that one!?...
I LOVE this one of Lexi...
And this one of Zoe...
Whatcha lookin' at ZoZo?...
I took about a zillion photos of Zoe and Lexi running toward the camera, but by the time I was shooting these it was a little too dark. I had to crank my ISO up to 8000 and even then I still had to lighten them up in photoshop quite a bit. As a result, all of these photos are grainy and some of them are a bit out of focus. However, I just couldn't resist how cute and silly the pups looked in them so I decided to post some of them anyway...
Poor Zoe just can't keep up with Lexi no matter what she does! And she never has been able to. Zoe has to outsmart her to catch her since she can't out run her!

If you made it this far, thanks for stopping by the blog!

Burrowing Owls

I had seen several local photographers post photos of the burrowing owls at Zanjero Park and I finally decided to go check them out for myself! These little guys were so adorable. I could have hung out taking photos of them all day. They seemed pretty used to people being around, as they just sat there staring at me for the most part.

This is one of my favorites. I really liked a lot of these in black and white...
The owls kept flying back and forth between their perches and an area with dirt mounded up, so I was able to get a handful of photos of them taking off and landing. Here's one of them...
He's a little hard to see, but there is a third owl in this next set of photos. He was just rolling around on the ground acting like a fool and the other two kept looking at him like, "Dude, WTF?!" It was hysterical!...
Their eyes are so intense...
This little guy was so adorable. He'd pop his head out and look at me and then back up, and then stick his head out again and start all over again...
Eventually, he did decide to venture out, though. I guess he decided I was safe enough...
I REALLY like this one!...
As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed seeing the photos of these cuties as much as I enjoyed taking them!
