The Underbite Crew

Lately I have been coming to terms with the sad reality that this will probably be the last Christmas that Zoe and Lexi will be with us.  Both of them will be 14 years old next year and they each have a lot of health issues.  I really wanted to get some photos of all four of the dogs together while I still have the chance.  So, I purchased a Christmas photography background to use for some portraits of them.

I admit that I went a little overboard taking a TON of photos of my fur babies, so it was really tough to narrow them down to a reasonable number to post.  It probably took me more time to whittle them down than it would have to just edit them all but something tells me that everyone but me would have been bored to tears looking at hundreds (Yes, Hundreds!) of photos of them.

So instead....

Here are a few of my favorites of Lexi:
Zoe:
Olive:
And Ivy: (As I've mentioned before, Ivy is so challenging to photograph!! The camera comes out and she looks like she's terrified. I assure you she is just as loved and spoiled as the other three, even if she looks tragic in all of her photos.)
I thought this one was cute of Olive, Lexi, and Ivy...
And a couple of all four of them...
All of our dogs have underbites. So, we call them our Underbite Crew! We joke that it is a requirement to live in our house, and any future dogs will need to have one before they can be adopted.

Floyd + Monkey + Gazoo's Sneak Peek

As I mentioned a few days ago, I bought this photo background so I could take photos of us and the dogs but since I had it, I figured I might as well get some use out of it and offered to take photos for a few friends and coworkers.  One of my close friends, Janice, wasn't up for getting in front of the camera herself but volunteered her dogs for the job.

Kevin and I spend a lot of time with Janice, her husband, Jeff, and their pack of pups, so I already know these three cuties pretty well.  This first guy is Floyd who came to Janice and Jeff through someone who needed to rehome him.  It was a perfect fit because Janice loves hounds and had recently lost her beloved blue tick coonhound, Jaeger.  She decided to meet Floyd and it was love at first sight!

And is it any wonder?  Who could resist this cutie?...
And this adorable little guy is Monkey. He came to Janice and Jeff through the rescue that Janice and I volunteered at together (which is also how I met her). Monkey came to them as a puppy and was supposed to be a short term foster. However, when it was time for him to go up for adoption, Jeff declared, "This one is staying!" and the rest, as they say, is history!

And really, is it any surprise? That's a whole lot of adorable in a tiny little package!....
And last, but certainly not least, is Gazoo. This little guy came to them when they unexpectedly lost one of their other dogs and they decided Monkey needed a young playmate. I have to admit that there is just something about Gazoo that I adore. I think it is his ears and that curly tail!
Janice, thank you for allowing me to capture these photos of your adorable dogs!

Jaeger's Sneak Peek

My friend, Janice, asked me to take some photos of her hound dog, Jaeger, and how could I refuse?  Just look at that adorable face...
And those ears!...
Can't you just hear him howling?...
Whatchu looking at?...
Jaeger likes to be heard!...
Adorableness overload...
I seriously can't get over those ears!...
Janice, thank you for allowing me to capture these photos of your sweet pup!
